Dear Families of TVES Bus Riders,
Starting tomorrow, January 29th, we are implementing BusRight Inc.’s student scanner system, a new technology designed to enhance student safety and improve communication with families. IDs and lanyards will be distributed during the school day.
This system uses student ID cards equipped with a barcode or RFID chip. When students board or exit the school bus, they simply scan their ID card using a tablet mounted on the bus. The scan records the time and location, allowing the District to accurately track ridership and ensure students are getting on and off the correct bus at the appropriate stops. While students Students WILL NOT be allowed to ride without their ID card, they will be able to request a replacement in the school office. Please remind your student to have their ID on them.
Families are encouraged to use the BusRight parent app that can provide real-time notifications when your child boards or exits the bus, as well as bus location updates. This added visibility helps families feel more informed and confident about their student’s transportation.
The BusRight system supports student safety, accountability, and operational efficiency while reducing manual record keeping for drivers.

3rd-6th Grade families-
Please complete THIS form if you would like to request gifted education testing for your child. Only 3rd-6th grade students will be testing at this time and is only for gifted education (not advanced math). Once completed, expect a "Permission to Evaluate" paper copy to sign and return.

Arizona law provides a "dollar-for-dollar" tax credit to the taxpayer when they make a Tax Credit donation to a public school to support extracurricular activities or character education.
When making a Tax Credit donation, the taxpayer designates where a portion of their tax dollars are spent, and those tax dollars will go DIRECTLY to the TVUSD school and/or program selected.

🎁 TVES CHEER AND CHARITY 🎄
As the holiday season approaches, it is the perfect time to reflect on how fortunate we are here at TVES. It is also a great time to look at ways to spread our good fortune and teach our children about the importance of helping others.
For the past few years, our school has chosen to help students facing barriers at Prince Elementary School. This year we will be sharing our cheer at Keeling Elementary as well. In total we have adopted eight first and second grade students at Prince and eight PreK-K-6th grade students and their families, totaling a one hundred person plus! All of those lucky enough to participate in the "giving." Our plan is to have our students deliver a BLANKET, GAME, BALL, TOY, AND BOOKS for each child on Monday, December 8th. The third and sixth grade buddy classes will be working together to gather, wrap, and deliver the gifts. Please send any donations to your child's classroom by December 3rd.

We are also collecting any gently used clothing or other household donations. Look through your closets and your neighbor's closets for any jackets, clothes, shoes and household items (no large electronics, please). ANY and ALL donations are welcome for they will be a blessing to those who receive them. We will have a place on campus to store/sort through gently used donations and any additional household items our children call us to give. You can send these to any 3rd or 6th grade classroom.
We appreciate your help making this project so incredibly meaningful for the students and families we are supporting.
