Tanque Verde School District is celebrating a remarkable milestone, 140 years of public education in the Tanque Verde Valley!

Since 1886, generations of students, families, educators, and community members have helped shape the schools and the community we know and love today. What began as a small rural school has grown into a thriving school district, but our connection to our history and our community remains at the heart of who we are.

As we prepare for our 140th Anniversary Celebration on September 23 from 5-8 pm at Tanque Verde High School, we are looking for members of the Tanque Verde community to help us tell the story of our past.

• Old class pictures, yearbooks, or school programs?

• Report cards, diplomas, newspaper clippings, or other documents?

• School memorabilia or artifacts?

• Stories or memories from your time in Tanque Verde schools?

• Family stories about attending or working at our schools?

• Photos or memories of school events, activities, sports, dances, or community gatherings?
